Finding the street photo…

Street view needs JavaScript. The full crash map and its crash file work without it.

How to use it

  1. 1Find a street. Type it in the box, or pick a road or corner from the list. Tap the map to stand anywhere a light line shows a street photo.
  2. 2Look around. Drag the photo to turn. Each pin stands where NJDOT's records put a crash: a person, bike or vehicle for who was hurt, red when someone was killed or seriously hurt. Tap a pin for the crash.
  3. 3Ride it. Press Ride and street view moves from crash to crash along the street, in order, with the map following. Filter first to ride only the crashes you care about, like crashes that hurt someone on a bike at night.

Your street, filters and spot stay in the link, so you can share the exact view.

What the pins show

Every crash in NJDOT's public crash dashboard for Hoboken from January 1, 2019 to September 30, 2026 that hurt someone and has a map point: 719 crashes, 0 of them killed someone and 30 seriously hurt someone. Crashes with no injury aren't pinned. The full crash map has every crash, and the crash data page ranks the most dangerous roads and corners.

Police write where a crash happened, and NJDOT turns that into a point, so a pin can be a few meters off. A pin with a dashed ring was placed where the two streets on the report meet. NJDOT calls these records preliminary. They are not a finding of who was at fault. Saved October 12, 2026.

Where the photos come from

The street photos are Mapillary's, taken and shared by people under CC BY-SA 4.0. Mapillary blurs faces and license plates. We show photos taken from a year before the crash records start, so a ride doesn't jump decades. A photo shows the street the day it was taken, which may not match it today, and some streets have no photo yet.

The dark street map is OpenFreeMap, with data from OpenStreetMap contributors. Crashes: NJDOT's public crash dashboard. Nothing here touches how we rank law firms: crash numbers never count toward a firm's score.
