Accessibility
As of October 17, 2026, we aim for every page to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA, so people who use screen readers, keyboards or zoom can use Counselworthy. A test checks our main pages every week. If something doesn't work for you, email us and we'll fix it or get you the same information another way.
What we do
- Every image has a short text description. Where the same words already sit beside it, screen readers skip it so they don't hear it twice.
- We build every page to work with a keyboard, at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and when you zoom in.
- Rankings, scores and firm facts are text on the page, not pictures, and every ranked firm is in the page when it loads.
- An automated test checks our main page types against WCAG 2.2 AA every week, at phone and desktop sizes. When it finds a problem, we fix it.
What's harder
The crash maps and street photos are pictures. The street photos come from Mapillary, shared by the people who took them, and don't have descriptions. Each crash page gives the same information in text: the totals, the worst roads, corners and squares, and what the records show.
Tell us
If a page, a map or a tool doesn't work for you, email hello@counselworthy.com with the page and what went wrong. We'll reply within 2 business days, and either fix it or send you the same information another way.
